We’ve set aside two programme rooms in the Aviator Suite, Bader and LeClerque. Members will be bringing along their favourite games, and we’ll have some very special sessions, too…
Exploding Kittens – play-testing
Exploding Kittens is a card game for people who are into kittens, explosions, laser beams, and sometimes goats. The game is essentially Russian Roulette; you draw cards until you draw a kitten, at which point you lose. All the other cards can be used to defend, attack, skip your turn, or defuse the kitten using various action cards. This is your chance to get an early peek at the game that took Kickstarter by storm. Also, since this is play-testing, there’s a better-than-zero chance that your opinions could have an effect on the look and feel of the final game. There should be at least one session per day in the Games Rooms – watch out for further information in the newsletter. You can also find more information and links at the play-testing’s Facebook event page.
TimeGames – The Great Room Escape
Can you find the evidence, decipher the clues, solve the mystery and escape the lab before the security cameras turn back on? Or will you be caught red-handed?
TimeGames combine room escape games with elements of live role-playing to bring you an alternate reality game where the goal is to beat the clock. You’ll have 45 minutes to crack a series of puzzles to escape the room in a scenario created especially for Dysprosium.
You can enter as a team of five, or sign up for the mission on your own and be recruited to form a crack squad of secret agents – the fastest team wins the prize.
Sessions will take place in Syndicate Room 17, and there will be 15 sessions over the weekend, each lasting 1 hour, including briefing and debriefing. Book your slot at the registration desk:
